Synthesis of Schiff Base by Reaction of TRIS(77-86-1) with 3,5 - Dibromosalicylaldehyde

Using anhydrous ethanol as solvent, TRIS(77-86-1) and 3,5-dibromosalicylaldehyde were synthesized by reaction with sodium borohydride as reducing agent to obtain the corresponding reduced Schiff base. The molar ratio of 3,5-dibromosalicylaldehyde and TRIS was 1: 1, the reaction time was 30 min, and the yield of Schiff base was as high as 95.4%. The molar ratio of maleic acid to TRIS Schiff base was 1.5: 1, and the yield of the reduced Schiff base was 81.4%.
The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, infrared spectroscopy and high resolution mass spectrometry. The structures of the compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, infrared spectroscopy and high resolution mass spectrometry (TEM). The interaction between the complex and CT-DNA was studied by electron absorption spectroscopy, thermal denaturation and viscosity. The experimental results show that the complex interacts with DNA in the mode of insertion.
